Your correspondent is pleased to announce that your local theatres are on the way back and will be opening in 2022.
The first to open is the Lilydale Athenaeum Theatre presenting A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, the 2014 Tony Award winning musical directed by Alan Burrows.
After his mother’s funeral, middle class Englishman Mority Navarro learns an incredible secret – he is the “son of the daughter of the grandson of nephew of the second Earl of Highurat” making him an aristocrat – if he can just find a way to prevent the eight earls preceding him from inheriting the earldom first. An Edwardian style, operatic farce.
