Croydon man interviewed over hit-run

A Croydon man has been interviewed in relation to a hit-run that occurred in St Helena on Tuesday 23 November.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives interviewed the 70-year-old, who has since been released pending further enquiries.

A white Ford was seized at an address in Gladysdale as part of the investigation and will be forensically examined in the coming days.

The male pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene after he was allegedly struck by a vehicle on St Helena Road, near the intersection of Wallowa Road just before 3am.
