Buses will replace trains on part of the Lilydale and Belgrave lines, and road closures are in place through Ringwood, due to a police operation.

Replacement buses are operating between Box Hill and Upper Ferntree Gully on the Belgrave Line, and between Box Hill and Lilydale on the Lilydale Line.

Bus services are not stopping at Blackburn or Ringwood stations.

We ask passengers to check station platform displays and listen for announcements, and to allow up to 60 minutes extra for their journey.

Trains will continue to operate between Flinders Street and Box Hill, with delays likely.

Authorised Officers will assist passengers transferring between trains and buses at Box Hill.

Both the Maroondah Highway and Station Street are closed near Ringwood Station, between Ringwood Street and Warrandyte Road, causing significant congestion in the area.

Motorists should follow the direction of emergency services and plan to use the Ringwood Bypass or Canterbury Road instead.

This incident is under Victoria Police control. Services will resume and roads will re-open when investigations are complete.
