Emergency crews respond to road rescue

A number of emergency service crews were called to a small collision in Chirnside Park this afternoon, with reports of someone being trapped in their vehicle.

Initially nine crews were listed as responding, with CFA, FRV, VICSES and Ambulance Victoria each sending vehicles to the Grandvalley Drive incident.

“CFA was called to a car accident with a possible person trapped at 1.24pm at Chirnside Park,” a CFA spokesperson said.

“One car was involved in the accident with a person partially trapped.”

Ambulance Victoria paramedics were on scene to assist with any injuries.

“Paramedics are currently assessing two people who are in stable conditions for what appears to be minor injuries,” a spokesperson said.

The area was declared safe at 1.39pm.
