Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in Mooroolbark on Thursday morning.
The man was found at a reserve bordering the train line on Brice Avenue at about 8.30am on 29 February.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are yet to be established and a crime scene has been set up.
“Detectives from the Homicide squad are in attendance to undertake an assessment of the scene,” they said.
“At this stage, it is still not known if it is suspicious.”
Police had cornered off a large area around the Mooroolbark Community Centre car park, as homicide detectives continued the investigation throughout the afternoon.
