Despite the cool autumn temperatures, a Lilydale man broke into a sweat Sunday morning after the enormity of his $1.7 million prize from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw was revealed.

The Victorian held one of the three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4461 on Saturday 20 April. His total prize was $1,703,991.72.

“It’s insane!” the winning man declared when an official from The Lott confirmed his win.

“It’s so good!

“I just thought, ‘I haven’t checked my ticket’ as I was lying in bed this morning. I looked at it and it said I had won. I was looking at all the numbers in green and thought, ’nah, that’s not right’.

“The funniest thing is that people have always told me, ‘You’ll never win anything’, but you’ve got to be in it to win it!

“Our lives have just insanely changed. I can’t get over it.

“I’m sweating – I had to take my jacket off. It’s cold and I’m sweating!

“We don’t have a mortgage anymore!

“We’re going to get rid of the mortgage, maybe enjoy a family holiday, and just have a nest egg for ourselves and the kids.

“The first thing I thought, too, was I definitely want to help Mum out and make sure she’s set up.

“Unbelievable!”

The man’s winning System 8 entry QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4461 on 20 April were 44, 6, 16, 43, 19 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 14.

Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4461 – two from Western Australia and one from Victoria.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 339 so far in FY24, including 121 won by Tatts customers.

In 2023, TattsLotto created 176 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 303 division one winning in TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $436 million.
