Lilydale’s Community House is preparing to open from Monday 22 November for the first time since being established.
Having held online classes, morning teas and introductory sessions to Lilydale’s community groups over the past couple of months, house coordinator Suyin Chan said it will be nice to welcome people in person.
With a range of programs planned for the first week, those interested can get started with a Hello Monday Biscuit morning tea for a gold coin donation.
Join the coordinators and others from the local community for a cup of tea, meet some new people and be a part of friendly conversation to start your Monday right from 10am to 11am.
Then from 11am, stay for some craft with some like minded people. The ‘bring your own’ session runs until 1pm where you can work on that craft project, whatever it may be in the company of some fellow crafters.
For those looking to get a little bit active, join a beginners hip hop class on Friday, with the teens session running from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and the adults session running from 7pm to 8pm.
Located in the EC Hill Hall or Lilydale Senior Citizens Hall at 7 Hardy Street, the Community House is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 9am to 4pm and from 9am until 12pm on Fridays.
Under State Government requirements participants over 16 years must be fully vaccinated to attend.
To contact the House email lilydalecommunityhouse@chaosnetwork.org.au or call 0493 150 176.
More sessions, workshops and activities will be available in December.
