Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Croydon North on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to an address in Patrick Avenue about 10.15pm on 30 April after reports of an assault.
A 35-year-old Croydon North woman was treated by paramedics, however she died at the scene.
A 40-year-old Croydon North man was arrested on the night and was today charged with murder.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
The parties involved were known to each other.
