Time to turn the clocks forward

Summer is well and truly on the way and we will all soon have an extra hour of daylight to enjoy, as the clocks are about to turn forward once again.

In the early hours of Sunday 3 October, clocks throughout the area will jump from 2am to 3am – meaning that both sunrise and sunset will be an hour later than usual that day, giving us more time to enjoy the outdoors as the warmer months quickly approach.

This change will be happening for residents across Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia and Tasmania and with many of us still in lockdown, will be a welcome bit of ‘extra’ evening sunshine that we could all use right now.

While most phones should automatically make the change, residents are being reminded to check their traditional style clocks and move them forward if need be – you don’t want to be caught out running late to anything!
