Success for first EPC fun run

Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) hosted its first annual fun run on Sunday 9 October with over 200 people making the trek to Lillydale Lake.

The newly created Pound the Pavement 5km walk or run was overly successful in its first year.

Event organiser Peita Carroll said it was much bigger than they had expected but were so pleased with the participation from the community.

Aiming to raise $20,000, EPC surpassed that a week prior to the event and as at Monday 10 October donations tallied $32,444.

This money will help EPC in its ability to support patients and their families during end of life care as more people choose to die at home.
